Recruiting Full-time Foreign Teachers
KSA of KAIST, a special high school for students gifted in mathematics and science, is looking for competent and sincere full-time foreign teachers as the followings:

2. Eligibility
- A person with doctor´s degree or a masters degree and 5 years or more of teaching and/or
research experience.
- A person who is versed in English (Most lectures must be taught in English at KSA)
- A person with an official teachers certificate (desirable)
3. Term of Employment
- 2 years (from February 1, 2010 to January 31, 2012)
- The term of employment can be renewed by the mutual written agreement between employer
and employee.
4. Working Hours
- Employee shall work eight (8) hours per day for five (5) calendar days per week from Monday
to Friday and shall not work on Saturdays, Sundays and any national holidays of the Republic
of Korea.
- Working hours can be adjusted by principal depending on the circumstances.
5. Working Condition
- Annual Salary: 36,000,000 KRW ~ 72,000,000 KRW per year
(depending on. qualification and. experience/negotiable)
- Housing: Furnished housing provided.
- Up to 2,000,000 KRW will be reimbursed for Employee"s entrance to Korea including airfare,
moving expenses, etc.
- Severance pay: equivalent to one month"s salary.
- Compulsory medical insurance: 50% of premiums paid by employer
- National Pension: 50% of contributions paid by employer
6. Selection Process
- Stage 1: Evaluation of submitted documents (KSA will give an individual notice)
- Stage 2: Interview and open class lecture (30min each)
- Only for the applicants who passed the stage 1
- Under unavoidable circumstances, the open class lecture can be substituted for
a recorded class or be exempted by principal.
- If the applicant cant have a face-to-face interview at KSA, the interview will be done
using the real-time video or telephone.
- Final decision will be notified on Nov 30th.
7. Required Documents to be submitted
- Application form (attached form)
- Certificate of every academic degree (Copy of the diploma)
- A photocopy of the passport
- 2 or more recommendation letters

- Certified documents of career and awards
- Certificate of qualification or official teachers certificate
* Requirements after selected for employment at KSA
- A medical examination report (issued within 1 year)
- A criminal record check (affixed with the relevant nations Apostille or verified by the local
Korean consulate)
- A sealed transcript (must be issued by the University)
- A certificate of degree (Applicants may choose one of the following)
- Original copy of the certificate (will be returned to the applicant after making a copy and having
it sealed as a legitimate copy)
- Copy of the diploma (verified by the Korean consulate or attached with documents verifying
highest education, issued by Korean Council for University Education)
- The certificate of academic degree/certificate of graduation (must be legalized through the
Apostille or verified by the local Korean consulate)
8. Application Period
- Applications must be submitted from September 14 to October 30, 2009 in person or by mail.
- Mailed applications must be postmarked by October 30, 2009.
- If you cant submit your applications in person or by mail, you may send them by E-mail. When you
visit KSA for the interview, you have to submit original copies of them.
- If a document is lost while it is being sent by mail, it is the responsibility of the applicant.
9. Important Reminder
- Giving false information will make the applicant ineligible for employment to KSA or subject to
cancellation
if employment has occurred.
- If the documents are not properly made out, it is the responsibility of the applicant.
- If there are not enough qualified applicants, the positions may not be filled.
- The submitted documents will not be returned and any forms of incomplete documents will not be
accepted.
