신임 교원 모집 공고

한국과학기술원 (KAIST) 웹사이언스 공학 전공에서 전임직 신임교원을 모집합니다. 본 학과에서는 전산학 뿐만 아니라 웹 비즈니스, 사회학 등 다양한 분야에서 탁월한 연구 실적 또는 잠재력과 융합연구에 대한 열정을 가지신 분을 경력에 상관없이 모시고자 합니다. 웹사이언스 공학 전공은 2010년 한국연구재단 지원 세계수준의 연구 중심 대학(World Class University)으로 선정되어 2011년 봄학기에 첫 학생을 받았습니다. 본 전공에서는 웹에 관련된 모든 분야를 총체적으로 다루며 특히 웹에 관련된 기술과 사회적 상관 관계를 다룹니다. 현재 외국인 교수 5명 포함 교수 13명, 직원 5명, 석사과정 학생 13명, 박사과정 학생 2명이며 향후 계속 성장할 예정입니다.

한국과학기술원은 지난 40년의 역사를 통해 과학기술 분야에서 국내 대학 중 선두주자 역할을 해왔으며, 2009년 영국 더타임즈 선정 세계 100대 대학 중 IT 분야 21위를 차지한 바 있습니다.

Faculty Recruiting

Division of Web Science and Technology, KAIST  

The Division of Web Science and Technology (WebST) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for tenure-track positions at all levels. We welcome applicants not only from computer science background but from a broad spectrum of academic disciplines who have a strong research track record (or potential) and ambition for interdisciplinary studies, more specifically in the areas of web business, sociology. Our division is a new program that started in Spring 2011 by the World Class University (WCU) initiative funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) under the auspice of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MEST) of Korea. We take the Web as the primary object of study and explore the interaction between technical and social aspects of the Web. Currently our division has 13 faculty members (including 5 international faculty members), 5 administrative assistants, 13 MS and 2 PhD students and plans to grow substantially.

With four decades of history, KAIST is a leading education and research institute in Korea. It has ranked consistently #1 in many important national rankings and ranked 21st in The Times ranking among the worlds top 100 technology universities in 2009.
