KAIST Holds the 2026 President's Advisory Council​

On the morning of May 21st, KAIST held the '2026 KAIST President's Advisory Council' at ORBIT 50 in the FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul. A total of 22 attendees participated in the meeting, including members of the President's Advisory Council, Chairwoman Myung-Ja Kim, President Kwang Hyung Lee, and key university officials.

President Kwang Hyung Lee personally presented the achievements and current status across all sectors of the university—including education, research, and entrepreneurship—realized during his past five years in office, along with the future direction for KAIST's development.

The advisory members expressed their deep gratitude and encouragement for the hard work and dedication poured into the university's development over the years. They then engaged in a broad and in-depth discussion regarding KAIST's future growth engines and mid-to-long-term development directions.

President Kwang Hyung Lee conveyed his appreciation, stating, "I would like to express my deepest respect and gratitude to the members who have served on the President's Advisory Council."

He added, "I will do my utmost for the development of the university during the remainder of my term. I sincerely hope that KAIST will leap forward to become an even greater university under the next leadership."
